Predict Card Based Fraud in POS, ATM & CNP channels

With growing digital transaction, the current rule-based system at the bank lacked self-learning capability and ability to predict fraud. The challenge thus faced by the bank  was to spot fraud and reduce false alerts in real-time and near real-time. We built one-of-its-kind next-generation fraud detection tool using the latest ML models & big data technology. We used effective sampling strategy to create the training set data with an ability to self-learn and detect fraud and non fraud data based on complex patterns hidden in the data.

Automated Data Extraction with AI

Our client manually entered & verified scanned bank statements and the data  captured  is  leveraged  to  generate different insights such as End of Day balances, Top  5  funds  received,  Top  5  funds  remittances, etc. For a 30-40 pager document, this entire process of  extraction  and  insights  generation  took approximately 8 to 9 hours. With Quadratyx Scanalityx (a cognitive document analyzer), a big data enabled solution to recognize and analyze diverse document types such as Bank Statements, Bill of Lading, Invoices, Financial Statements, and KYC documents. Searched, extracted and validated data in less than 30 seconds.

Our client had been collecting data in different data bases and in different formats. There was no data mart – for analysis and reporting – business analysts had huge dependency on database manager to create monthly reports and the data validation was carried out manually.
