Job Description
Purpose of the Job/ Role:
Purpose of the Job / Role : Provide IT leadership & manage the company’s technology operations while ensuring smooth implementation/ running of IT systems and policies acting in alignment with user needs and IT functionality to contribute to organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze the business requirements of all departments/ functions/ projects to determine their technology needs
Review, Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies to meet the organizational and above goals.
Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
Monitor and ensure smooth maintaining & running of networks and servers.
Implement security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
Management of Cloud Infrastructure.
Audit IT systems and assess their outcomes
Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
Monitor performance metrics for various systems and identify root cause for technical issues and recommend solutions
Documenting processes, and ensure back ups and archiving of data.
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new equipment and software.
Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software.
Assist in building relationships with vendors/ partners and ensure cost-efficient contract.
Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
Work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple teams.

Skills/ Competencies Required
Technical Skills
OS: Linux - variants, Windows server and variants
Networking and administration: Cluster management and administration, Handling Cloud based deployments, No-SQL and RDBMS maintenance, RAID and JBOD disk configuration to balance storage issues on clusters.
Hadoop and ecosystem: Maintenance and management, cluster monitoring tools like NAGIOS and GANGLIA, knowledge on Docker is desirable.
Expertise in data centre management and data governance
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline from a well-known institute.
Minimum 8 - 12 years of relevant work experience in an IT organization
