Job Description
Your Role at the Core:
We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst with 4 to 6 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years in the banking and payments domain, specifically within retail and corporate banking. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in card payments, UPI, digital banking, and corporate banking platforms, with hands-on experience in payment processing systems and building card and UPI stack solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements (BRD/FSD), ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving business strategy in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also manage client expectations and play a key role in delivering scalable and compliant financial solutions, while supporting business transformation and digital initiatives across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple client engagements independently from initiation to delivery.
Strategize with stakeholders to gather requirements, define goals, and deliver business solutions.
Perform regulatory project management including scope definition, budgeting, resource planning, and progress monitoring.
Define business, functional, financial, and operational requirements in collaboration with decision-makers and end users.
Conduct gap analysis and create detailed documentation including BRDs, FSDs, data/process flows, and UAT plans.
Write and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis to support business decision-making.
Apply strong analytical and documentation skills to interpret data, identify root causes, and propose actionable solutions.
Create effective presentations and reports using MS PowerPoint and other business reporting tools.
Leverage awareness or hands-on experience in analytics tools like Python, R, etc., to support data-driven solutions.
Collaborating with development leads to aligning business requirements with technical solutions and project goals.
Stay updated with current trends and best practices in digital banking, business analytics, and data science applications.

Domain Expertise
In-depth Knowledge of card payments, UPI, and digital banking platforms.
Familiarity with credit card lifecycle, transaction processing, and settlements.
Exposure to regulatory standards in banking and payments space.
Technical Skills
Expertise/ Awareness in Python/R, SQL & working knowledge in analytics/statistical techniques.
Expert-level user of MS PowerPoint and other business presentation tools Desire to learn about new domains, new applications of technology, new markets and new products.
Good basic understanding/experience of application programming

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, or Master’s in business administration, or related discipline from a well-known institute.
Minimum 4 - 6 years of work experience as a Sr. Business Analyst in an IT organization, or Project Manager or SME (Subject Mater expert) -Preferably from Banking Domain, must have good exposure in Payment’s -building payment solutions.
