Job Description
Purpose of the Job/ Role:
The data scientist is expected to develop machine learning models and evaluate their performance; generate descriptive analytics and visualize data in ways to provide insights. Have a leader’s aptitude to understand diverse personalities and adapt to a mentorship style suited to bring the best out of his team.
Job Requirements:
Strong foundations in data structures and algorithms
Proficiency in neural networks, deep learning architectures, state of the art pre-trained models, hyper-parameter tuning
Hands-on expertise in using tensorflow / keras /pytorch frameworks
Using and development of CNN's, RNN's, LSTM's, autoencoders and transformers
Using managed cloud services on GCP, AWS or Azure
Development of data processing pipelines using spark & hive
Familiarity with Nifi and Airflow is a plus
Should have the problem-solving expertise
Key Requisites:
Elucidate requirements to customer team and define the use case that needs a data science solution
Work with pre-sales team to deliver winning proposals
Develop sprint plans for the data science team to execute and monitor progress
Innovate on predictive, prescriptive, optimization and process automation solutions using advanced research techniques
Collaborate with analysts as well as engineering and product teams by demonstrating cross-functional resource interaction to deliver high quality outputs
Identify and investigate new technologies, prototype and test solutions for product features; design and validate designs that deliver an exceptional user experience
Take responsibility for technical problem solving, including creatively meeting project objectives and developing best practices
Own strategic thought leadership for the subject of enterprisewide machine learning capabilities
Collaborate, coach, and learn with a growing team of experienced Data Scientists
Dig deeper into data, understand characteristics of data, evaluate alternate models and validate hypothesis through theoretical and empirical approaches
Stay current with latest research and technology ideas; share knowledge by articulating results and ideas to key decision makers

Skills/ Competencies Required
Technical Skills
Strong expertise (9 or more out of 10) in at least one modern programming language, like Python, Java
Clear end-to-end experience in designing, programming, implementing large software systems
Passion and analytical abilities to solve complex problems
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline from a well-known institute.
Minimum 5 - 10 years of work experience as a data scientist in an IT organization
(preferably Analytics / Big Data/ Data Science / AI background).
